The long-awaited (by us anyway) return of the Berklee College of Music Spring 2020 Scar Symmetry ensemble is here!! For those who don't know, my last semester in college, my good friend Manuel Barbará and I co-lead a Scar Symmetry directed study ensemble, under the direction of David Marvuglio. Due to Covid, it was cut short, and we had planned to make videos of all the songs in our set. Of course, after graduation, life happened, and it got pushed to the back-burner a little, but we have returned! GRAD WEEK SESSIONS #4 // By Far and Away - Intervals Cover As I mentioned yesterday, last spring semester I got to lead an Intervals directed stuff, and we got to see, meet, and hang out with the band when they played at the Palladium in Worcester that April. When they played this song, the rhythm guitarist Sam Jacobs S L A Y E D the crazy synth line that goes in the hits around ~3:33. It became a huge "guitar goal" of mine to nail that lick. So after many hours of crying and yelling at my fingers to work through this semester, I think I've ~finally~ almost got it 🤣 Also a fun side note, I officially finished all my Berklee course work today!
